Special Arrangement for Tropical Cyclone Warning / “Extreme Condition” and Rainstorm Warning

In the event of the issuance of Tropical Cyclone Signal No.8 or above / “Extreme Condition” / Black Rainstorm Warning, HKUMed Orthopaedic Clinic will adopt the following special arrangement:

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or Above / “Extreme Condition”

If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above / “extreme condition” is issued, the clinic services will be suspended while the warning signal is in force.
In general, clinic services will be resumed as soon as practicable within 2 hours or in the next clinic session after the warning signal No. 8 (without “extreme condition”) or “extreme condition” is cancelled. Please refer to the public announcements through Hong Kong Observatory for the service arrangement upon the cancellation of the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or “extreme condition”.
Patients who have made their clinic appointments, in case their attendance cannot be made because of the above situation, may make a new appointment when clinic is resumed, normally around 2 hours after the cancellation of signal (without “extreme condition”) or “extreme condition”.

Black Rainstorm Warning Signal

If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued during clinic session, clinic service will be suspended while the warning signal is in force. However, clinic would take care of patients who have turned up.
If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued before the clinic session, clinic will remain closed while the warning signal is in force. In general, clinic services will be resumed as soon as practicable within 2 hours or in the next clinic session after the warning signal is cancelled. Please refer to the public announcements through Hong Kong Observatory for the service arrangement upon the cancellation of the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal.
Patients who have made their clinic appointments, in case their attendance cannot be made because of the above situation, may make a new appointment when clinic is resumed, normally around 2 hours after the cancellation of signal (without “extreme condition”) or “extreme condition”.
